The President of Uzbekistan congratulates the President of Turkmenistan

Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of a significant date in the history of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan peoples – the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, reports “Dunyo” IA

“Turkmenistan has been a close neighbor and good friend for us from time immemorial, a time-tested reliable partner with whom we are connected by common cultural traditions, similar language, and customs.

Looking back at the path over the years of independence, it is worth noting that over 30 years we have managed to create a solid political, diplomatic, and legal basis for mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries”, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The President of Uzbekistan emphasized that the strategic partnership based on mutual respect and support, thanks to the common political will, has risen to a qualitatively new level in recent years and has been enriched with practical content. High-level political contacts, inter-parliamentary and inter-regional ties have intensified.

The parties are making resolute efforts in all areas of bilateral interaction within the framework of the intergovernmental commissions on trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as the commission on water management.

“During our friendly and fruitful meetings in Tashkent, Samarkand and Ashgabat in 2022, we reaffirmed our interest in the consistent development of multifaceted and long-term cooperation.

At the same time, I would like to note that Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan have a huge potential that has not yet been used for the benefit of our peoples, and we are ready to significantly increase mutual trade and expand the range of products, further strengthen industrial cooperation”, the President of Uzbekistan noted.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that the strategic partnership established between the two states, worthy of being a model for others, will continue to develop successfully in the name of the common interests and well-being of the two fraternal countries.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev wished the President of Turkmenistan good health, happiness, and great success in the responsible activities, and the people of fraternal Turkmenistan – peace, constant progress, and further prosperity.
