The President of Uzbekistan holds a phone call with the Prime Minister of Pakistan

Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with Acting Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the leaders exchanged warm congratulations on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, sincerely wishing peace, well-being and further progress to the friendly peoples of the two countries.

The progress in the implementation of the joint action plan adopted following the results of the high-level state visit to Pakistan on March 3-4 this year was considered. The importance of the timely implementation of projects and programs of multifaceted cooperation, primarily in trade, industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, tourism, culture and other priority areas, was noted.

Views were also exchanged on regional cooperation issues.

Following the conversation, the Leader of Uzbekistan wished the Head of the Government and the people of Pakistan a successful holding of the upcoming important political event – parliamentary elections in the country.
