The President of Uzbekistan instructed the Ministry of Energy to monitor the state of providing the population with energy resources in real-time

Yesterday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting on ensuring the sustainable operation of economic sectors and social institutions in the autumn-winter period, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our state, as is known, on September 23 this year, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted the relevant resolution No. 522, which approved separate plan-schedules in the context of regions, districts and industries, identified specific measures and sources.

At the meeting, the Minister of Energy and hokims of the regions reported on the activities carried out in this direction.

It was noted that, first of all, measures are being taken to ensure an uninterrupted supply of electricity to the population. To this end, it is planned to generate 21 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in the fourth quarter, and almost 22 billion kilowatt-hours at the beginning of next year. In the autumn-winter period, 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be supplied to consumers.

To avoid wastefulness in this process, the Head of the state instructed to fully digitize all links in the natural gas supply chain – from gas wells to consumers.

It was emphasized that liquefied gas and coal will be supplied to villages, their social facilities, far from gas pipelines. If necessary, the regions will receive additional reserves.

“The leaders of all industries and regions should double their responsibility in this matter, meet the needs of the population, not leave without attention and promptly resolve each appeal”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The Ministry of Energy was instructed to monitor the state of providing the population with energy resources in real-time. It was noted that the activities of call centers and regional working groups are important in solving emerging problems.

The main attention was paid to the issue of saving energy resources. It was emphasized that the crisis phenomena in the global energy industry also affect our region, and therefore the relevance of responsible consumption is growing. In this regard, the importance of introducing energy-efficient technologies in all institutions and increasing the involvement of the population in energy conservation was noted.

The issues of enterprises’ financial recovery and increasing commercial banks’ stability were also considered at the meeting. Several instructions were given to assist projects launched at the expense of loans in reducing their overdue debts by reaching full production capacity.
