On November 11, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Energy of Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, as part of his participation in the Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh.
The issues of implementing joint investment projects and enhancing practical interaction in green energy were discussed.
The President of Uzbekistan noted with particular satisfaction the fruitful partnership with the leading company ACWA Power, which is actively involved in modernizing the country’s energy sector through direct investment and advanced technologies.
Particular attention was paid to accelerating the implementation of projects to build wind and solar power plants in Uzbekistan’s regions and produce green hydrogen.
An agreement was reached to involve companies and consultants from Saudi Arabia to increase the localization and energy efficiency of companies in the country.
