The President of Uzbekistan received the head of the Asian Football Confederation

Yesterday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the head of the Asian Football Confederation, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of state, the President of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa on his re-election as President of the Asian Football Confederation, noting his contribution to the popularization of this sport in Asia.

The fruitful partnership of Uzbekistan with the AFC was emphasized with particular satisfaction. Joint programs and projects are being implemented for the development of football and the wide involvement of young people in this game, and the training of highly qualified specialists.

Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa highly appreciated the large-scale work carried out in Uzbekistan to comprehensively support amateur and professional football, create a modern infrastructure and educational base. He sincerely congratulated the President on the successful holding of the Asian Youth Championships in Uzbekistan and the recent victory of the national team.
