The President of Uzbekistan receives the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power

As part of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Co-Chairman of the Uzbekistan – Saudi Arabia Business Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power Mohammad Abunayyan.

The issues of further enhancing practical cooperation with Saudi Arabian companies, including the implementation of joint investment projects, were discussed.

The President of Uzbekistan noted the successful partnership with ACWA Power in the implementation of large-scale projects, as well as the key role of the company in attracting Saudi investments to Uzbekistan.

An agreement was reached to accelerate the implementation of joint projects in the development of energy, transport, information technology, healthcare, modernization of heat supply networks, water, agriculture, and other areas.

Thereupon, the President of Uzbekistan completed his visit to Samarkand. The Head of state returned to Tashkent.
