The President of Uzbekistan receives the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia

On April 23, in Samarkand, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received a delegation of the Russian Federation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, who is on a working visit to Uzbekistan.

The distinguished guest conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to the President of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, the parties discussed key issues related to further strengthening friendship, comprehensive strategic partnership, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia, focusing on the practical implementation of high-level agreements.

The active engagement and productive exchanges across all areas were noted with satisfaction. Trade turnover and investment volumes are steadily growing. Cooperation between regions and leading industrial enterprises is strengthening. Interaction is expanding in culture, arts, science, education, healthcare, sports, and tourism.

Views were exchanged on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
