The President of Uzbekistan took part in the Flags Raising Ceremony at the new building of the Secretariat of the Turkic Council

Today, the Flags Raising Ceremony took place at the new building of the Secretariat of the Turkic Council, in the city of Istanbul, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the head of our state, the ceremony was attended by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the heads of the fraternal states.

Flags of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, as well as Hungary, Turkmenistan and the organization itself were raised in a solemn atmosphere.

President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, addressing the participants of the event, emphasized the importance of further enhancing the multifaceted partnership between the countries, and expressed the hope that the secretariat will continue to play an important role in realizing the goals and objectives of the organization.

The building, which houses the Secretariat of the Turkic Council, was built at the beginning of the 19th century. It is located in the Fatih district of Istanbul.
