The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan discussed current issues of cooperation

Today, after arriving in Dushanbe, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the head of our state, current issues of further development of Uzbekistan – Tajikistan multifaceted relations, as well as regional cooperation were considered.

The importance of continuing active contacts and exchanges for the practical implementation of cooperation projects in economic sectors and the program of cultural-humanitarian interaction in accordance with the agreements at the highest level was emphasized.

Views were also exchanged on the current situation in Afghanistan.

The President of Uzbekistan highly appreciated the results of Tajikistan’s fruitful chairmanship in the SCO and wished success to the upcoming events of the summit.
