The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and the Premier of the State Council of China discussed the current issues of the bilateral agenda following the results of the last telephone conversation between the between the two heads of state

Yesterday, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov held virtual talks with the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Press Service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed the current issues of the bilateral agenda following the results of the last telephone conversation between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.

It was emphasized that the virtual talks are a logical step towards the effective implementation of the agreements of the heads of state on further deepening multifaceted interaction between the two countries.

The parties considered the current issues of Uzbekistan – China comprehensive strategic partnership, including enhancing practical interaction in trade, investment, transport and transit. Promising joint projects with the participation of leading Chinese companies and financial institutions were discussed.

The agenda also included issues of promoting programs of a scientific, educational, cultural and humanitarian nature. The main attention was paid to enhancing collaboration in healthcare.

Gratitude was expressed to the leadership of China for the humanitarian assistance provided, as well as sending experienced medical specialists to Uzbekistan to support the fight against the spread of COVID-19. The successful conduction of joint clinical trials of a vaccine against coronavirus by scientists and doctors of the two countries, as well as the effective organization of vaccination of the population, were noted.

The talks took place in a traditionally open, businesslike and friendly atmosphere.
