As part of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, held several bilateral meetings.
During her meeting with Valentina Matvienko, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the parties discussed the deepening of bilateral cooperation and the expansion of inter-parliamentary relations.
Ms. Matvienko emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries’ parliaments and expressed readiness to continue active bilateral and multilateral engagement.

At the meeting with Numan Kurtulmuş, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye, the parties discussed prospects for developing relations between the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and the Turkish Parliament.
In particular, they addressed the need to expand the potential of parliamentary diplomacy to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
Both sides agreed to broaden inter-parliamentary collaboration by organizing mutual visits and forums.

At the meeting with Natalya Kochanova, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the parties discussed ways to strengthen inter-parliamentary ties between Uzbekistan and Belarus, as well as to expand cooperation in trade, economic, and innovation sectors.
The importance of enhancing the role of parliaments in ensuring the implementation of high-level agreements was particularly emphasized.

During the conversation with Dunyagozel Gulmanova, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, proposals were put forward to systematically develop ties between the parliaments of the two countries, promote the exchange of experience, and elevate inter-parliamentary cooperation to an institutional level.

The meeting with Om Birla, Speaker of the Lok Sabha (lower house of Parliament) of the Republic of India, was also held at a high level.
The Uzbek side proposed the establishment of an Uzbekistan – India inter-parliamentary friendship group. Interest was also expressed in cooperating with the Indian Parliamentary Institute for professional development in the parliamentary field.
These meetings contribute to elevating the multifaceted cooperation between the parties to a new level. Members of the delegations noted the open and effective atmosphere for dialogue and the practical significance of the projects discussed.
