The Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva met with the Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Bahrain Fawzia Abdulla Yusuf Zainal, in Madrid, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the upper chamber of the Parliament, the parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, which were developed as a result of the reforms initiated under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan.
The Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Bahrain highly appreciated the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, including in the field of gender equality, protection of the rights and interests of women. She also noted the importance of cooperation between Bahrain and Uzbekistan in various fields, including between the parliaments of the countries, noting that this will serve to bring bilateral relations to a new level of interaction.
Mrs. Fawzia Abdulla Yusuf Zainal invited the Chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan to pay an official visit to Bahrain. She also accepted an invitation to participate in the Women Speakers Forum in 2022.
