The spouse of the President of the Republic of Korea is warmly received

On April 19, the first ladies of Uzbekistan and South Korea Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and Kim Jung-sook visited a number of social and cultural institutions.

The spouse of the President of the Republic of Korea Kim Jung-sook, who is staying in Uzbekistan with a state visit, accompanied by the spouse of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ziroat Mirziyoyeva visited the preschool education institution No. 369 in Yakkasaray district, in Tashkent.

Such qualities as love for children, care for the family and the younger generation are equally inherent in Uzbek and Korean peoples. Advanced educational technologies are widely used in the system of preschool education in the country, in particular the experience of South Korea. The state program “First Step” is being introduced. This preschool education institution, which specializes in inclusive education, began its activities recently. The distinguished guests got acquainted with conditions created here for children. Observed and took part in classes conducted according to a special methodology, taking into account the creative and intellectual potential of each child.
Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and Kim Jung-sook visited the Art Gallery of Uzbekistan, where they got acquainted with the exhibition of folk arts and crafts. The best examples of Uzbek folk arts and crafts – products of woodcarving, artistic ceramics, tin, jewelry, gold-embroidery and embroidery works were presented here. The first lady of South Korea highlighted suzanes and handmade silk carpets in unique traditions for each region of the country. She was interested in the process of atlas and adras weaving. The guest was also greatly impressed by the national fashion show and “Kelin Salom” (the greeting of the bride) ceremony.
The first ladies of Uzbekistan and South Korea also visited the Arirang Nursing Home in Yukorichirchik district of Tashkent region. They got acquainted with the amenities for residents of the boarding house, talked with representatives of the older generation. Sincere words sounded: “Korea is our historic homeland, and Uzbekistan sheltered us and became a home, we are forever indebted to it”. Kim Jung-sook expressed gratitude to the people of Uzbekistan for the generosity and kindness shown to the Koreans. A new bus was donated to Arirang Nursing Home on behalf of the first ladies.
