Uzbekistan and Malaysia to organize a conference on the heritage of scientists of Islamic civilization

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Karomiddin Gadoyev, met with Fariza Sham, the Director of the Institute of Islamic Civilization of the National University of Malaysia.

At the meeting, the Malaysian side was informed about the goals and priorities of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy.

Fariza Sham noted that she highly appreciates the large-scale reforms being carried out in education in Uzbekistan and that she personally witnessed great changes in all areas during her numerous visits to the country’s cities.

The pace of cooperation between the Institute of Islamic Civilization of Malaysia and the research institutes of Uzbekistan was assessed positively. In particular, it was emphasized that holding annual conferences dedicated to the heritage of the great scientists of Islamic civilization, within the framework of memorandums of cooperation with the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan, has become a tradition.

During the dialogue, it was decided to organize the fourth workshop on “The contribution and importance of scientists of Islamic civilization to the development of science” of May 30 this year in Tashkent, and to publish articles by scientists and researchers of the two countries.

An agreement was also reached on a visit to Uzbekistan from May 27 to June 5 by a Malaysian delegation led by the Rector of the National University, Mohd Ekwan Toriman.
