Uzbekistan and World Bank are developing Country Cooperation Program 2022-2026

This and other priorities of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the World Bank have been discussed at the meeting of the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Farkhod Arziyev with the World Bank Country Manager for Uzbekistan, Marco Mantovanelli, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The parties discussed the implementation of the current WB projects in Uzbekistan, aimed, in particular, at eradicating poverty, supporting youth and women’s entrepreneurship, improving rural infrastructure and mitigating the consequences of the pandemic.

Views were exchanged on the priority areas for the implementation of socio-economic reforms in Uzbekistan, measures taken to expand the coverage and quality of education, strengthen human resources, improve the skills of specialists and other issues.

Marco Mantovanelli expressed his readiness to support the successful implementation of the State Program “Year of Supporting Youth and Strengthening Population Health”.
