Uzbekistan delegation attends International Meeting Stockholm +50

Uzbekistan delegation took part in the International Meeting “Stockholm +50: a healthy planet for the prosperity of all – our responsibility, our opportunity”, which took place on 1-3 June in Sweden, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, the Stockholm Meeting was attended by delegations from 137 countries, including 6 heads of state, 3 heads of government, ministers and deputy ministers from 128 states, as well as heads of more than 30 international organizations, UN structures.

Representatives of Uzbekistan delegation focused on the main achievements of the country in ensuring environmental protection, conservation of biological diversity, solid waste management, ecological balance and sustainable development of the Aral Sea region.

Several partners expressed their readiness to take part in the first Aral Sea High-Level International Forum in Nukus planned for 2022, as well as to consider cooperation in the implementation of joint projects on digital transformation and the introduction of innovative technologies aimed at ensuring sustainable development in the region.
