Uzbekistan delegation to attend the CIS Economic Council Meeting

On June 18, Moscow will host the 90th meeting of the CIS Economic Council

The heads of delegations of the Commonwealth countries will discuss several issues covering various spheres of economic cooperation of the CIS member states.

According to the CIS Executive Committee, the agenda of the 90th meeting of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth includes the issue of creating exhibition and trade centers of the CIS member states at the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy.

Pavilions of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are planned to start working in 2021. The pavilions of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus are operating on the territory of the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy, and the pavilion of Moldova has been opened in test mode. Exhibition and shopping centers will take an active part in holding events dedicated to the upcoming 30th anniversary of the CIS.

At the meeting of the Economic Council, the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee will present a report on the main target macroeconomic indicators of economic development of the CIS member states for 2020.

The meeting participants will consider the roadmap for the development and implementation of a program for phytomonitoring and locust pest control for the period up to 2026, as well as documents for the development of cooperation.
