Uzbekistan, Iran delegations discuss prospects for enhancing cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere

Yesterday, Uzbekistan delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov has met with Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Iran, Mohammad Hassan Talebian, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

It was noted that Uzbekistan and Iran are countries with an ancient culture, rich historical heritage and huge tourism potential, therefore the parties are interested in developing cooperation in these spheres.

The decision of the leadership of the Iranian companies Zagros Airlines and Aseman Airlines to carry out several tourist charter flights on the routes Tehran – Tashkent – Tehran, Tehran – Bukhara – Tehran and Mashhad – Bukhara – Mashhad on the occasion of the Navruz holiday was also greeted with satisfaction.

The parties discussed issues of developing cooperation between the two countries in culture and handicraft. In particular, interest was expressed in organizing a visit of a delegation of Iranian masters and specialists in restoration work to Uzbekistan and conducting training for domestic specialists in the study and restoration of the state of objects of historical and cultural heritage.
