Uzbekistan, Iran sign investment agreements and trade contracts worth almost $200 million

Tehran hosted Uzbekistan – Iran business forum. It was attended by representatives of government and business circles of the two countries.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the country’s delegation at the event was led by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov, and the Iranian side – Vice President for Economic Affairs Mohsen Rezaei.

Presentations were made of the investment potential of Uzbekistan in priority sectors, which included the most promising areas for attracting investment and ready-made project proposals.

At B2B meetings, the parties discussed the possibilities of implementing joint investment projects in Uzbekistan.

Following the forum, several investment agreements and trade contracts were signed between Iran and Uzbekistan businesspeople worth about $200 million.
