Uzbekistan diplomats in Tokyo held talks with representatives of Nikkei Inc. Satoshi Shimoda and Miwa Horiuchi to enhance ties with Japanese businesspeople, attract private Japanese companies to implement joint projects in the country,
promote information about the favorable conditions created for foreign investors and increase the rating of Uzbekistan in international rating agencies, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
During the talks, representatives of Nikkei Inc. noted with satisfaction the growing interest of Japanese businesspeople in Uzbekistan, the reforms carried out over the past few years in the political and economic spheres. It was emphasized that Japanese companies view Uzbekistan as a potentially new promising market for cooperation, and the partners of Nikkei Inc. would like to be constantly informed about the current events in the business environment of Uzbekistan.
Representatives of the Embassy, in turn, familiarized the Japanese side with modern processes in Uzbekistan, the country’s potential, as well as the course of implementation of joint projects with Japanese companies.
It was proposed to establish cooperation in the publication of articles on the economy of Uzbekistan, the organization of business forums for a wide range of partners of Nikkei Inc. both in Japan and in Uzbekistan.
For their part, the representatives of the Embassy expressed their readiness to provide comprehensive support to the initiatives of Nikkei Inc. and provide the necessary materials on the ongoing economic events in Uzbekistan. An agreement was also reached to hold joint business events in 2022 for the business community of Japan – partners of Nikkei Inc.
In addition, representatives of Nikkei Inc. expressed a desire to participate in the international investment forum in Tashkent in March 2022 and to cover it for the Japanese business community in the Nikkei Inc. edition.
