Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan Presidents discuss current issues of bilateral and regional agenda

Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the Heads of state exchanged sincere congratulations on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, wished the fraternal peoples of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan well-being and prosperity.

Issues of practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level were considered.

The main attention was paid to increasing the volume of mutual trade, promoting joint industrial cooperation projects, and continuing active exchanges within the framework of the cultural-humanitarian program.

The Presidents also exchanged views on the current aspects of regional cooperation, including the preparation and holding of the SCO Summit in Uzbekistan in September this year.

The conversation between the Presidents of the two countries took place in a traditionally businesslike and friendly atmosphere.
