Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has met with Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov, who arrived in Uzbekistan as part of a government delegation led by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the parties discussed the current issues of relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, ways to deepen economic partnership in priority areas, as well as the implementation of bilateral agreements reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, held in December last year.

The parties exchanged proposals on deepening industrial cooperation, implementing new investment projects, removing existing trade barriers and facilitating access for Uzbek and Kazakh producers to the markets of the two countries.

The sides agreed to intensify the interaction of expert working groups for regular discussion and monitoring of the implementation of the roadmap to bring mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to $10 billion in the next 5 years.
