Uzbekistan, Malaysia to strengthen collaboration in tourism

The delegation of Bukhara region is visiting Malaysia to promote the tourist opportunities of the region widely.

Meetings were held with almost 10 tourism sector representatives and heads of prominent associations and enterprises. The events were attended by representatives of Bukhara region’s hokimiyat Akmal Muzaffarov, a responsible employee of Bukhara Regional Tourism Department Bobir Tukhtasinov, and a representative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia Elbek Saidov.

The issues of the Road Show were discussed with the Chief Manager of the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Center. Activities were carried out to strengthen inter-country tourist exchange and cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, and Smart World Travel & Tours. An agreement was also reached with the Head of the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA), which includes more than 3,000 organizations, to organize meetings of Uzbek and Malaysian tour operators.
