Uzbekistan, Mongolia Deputy Foreign Ministers discuss enhancing cooperation

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov has held talks with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Munkhjin Batsumber, via videoconference.

The parties discussed issues of further developing relations between Uzbekistan and Mongolia in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

The positive dynamics of interaction within the UN, SCO and other international structures was noted. The sides expressed their readiness to continue a productive dialogue in these areas.

Deputy Foreign Ministers confirmed the interest of Uzbekistan and Mongolia in further development of inter-parliamentary ties by intensifying the activities of the Friendship Groups created this year in the legislative bodies of the two countries.

The proposals on the agenda and timing of joint events, including the 6th round of Uzbekistan – Mongolia inter-MFA political consultations, were considered.

Views were exchanged on improving the legal framework of bilateral relations.
