Sharofiddin Lutfullaev won bronze medal, Shahzodbek Sobirov - gold medal at Grand Slam tournament in Paris.

Judokas of Uzbekistan won one gold and one bronze medal at the French stage of Grand Slam tournament, which started on October 18 in Paris. The competition involved 435 judokas from 84 countries, the press service of the Judo Federation reports.

The winner of the Grand Prix in Samsun and Tbilisi 2015 Sharafiddin Lutfillaev (weight category up to 60 kg) held five fights on the tatami of legendary "Bercy" sport complex. In the first three qualifying matches he defeated the representatives of Turkey, Canada and Brazil. Lutfillaev was defeated by silver medalist of Grand Slam in Baku, the Frenchman Vincent Limar, who has also become second here. In the battle for the bronze medal in just 31 seconds Sharafiddin defeated Switzerland’s judoka.

Bronze medalist at the Grand Prix Tashkent 2014 Shahzodbek Sobirov (81 kg) brilliantly performed five fights and won the gold medal of the Grand Slam tournament. In the qualifying matches, he got ahead of judokas from the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Netherlands. Experienced Mongolian judoka, bronze medalist of the Asian championship, winner of the Grand Prix Otgonbaatar Uungabaatar has become Shahzodbek’s rival in the semi-finals. The result of a five-minute confrontation was the victory of the Uzbek. In the decisive final battle Sobirov defeated Russian Sergey Ryabov.

Thus, Shahzodbek added 500 points to his rating score. In the team event thanks to his "gold" and "bronze" of Sharafiddin Lutfillaev Uzbekistan national team entered the top-5 among the 84 countries of the world.
