Uzbekistan, Netherlands discuss legal framework issues of cooperation

On March 4, 2020, Hague hosted Inter-MFA consultations on legal framework of Uzbekistan – Netherlands relations, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

Representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands and Uzbekistan discussed the state of the legal framework of cooperation in various spheres and prospects for its expansion.

The parties clarified the legal status of agreements signed between the two countries. It was noted that basic documents such as agreements on protection and promotion of investments, avoidance of double taxation, and cooperation in customs affairs, road transport and air transport are considered valid.

Uzbekistan delegation visited the depository premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands, where, in addition to treaties and agreements of the Kingdom, all the conventions of the Hague Conference on Private International Law are stored.
