Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister holds talks with the Ministers of the Economic Bloc of Tajikistan

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has met with the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir and the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqi Zavqizoda, in Dushanbe.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the parties discussed the existing opportunities and prerequisites for enhancing bilateral trade, economic, investment and industrial cooperation between the two countries.

The sides considered practical aspects of the implementation of investment projects under development aimed at creating joint ventures for the production of vehicles, agricultural and household appliances, electrical and textile products, building materials, as well as agricultural enterprises.

The parties also discussed issues related to the organization of joint events, in particular, first Uzbekistan – Tajikistan Interregional Forum in the city of Bokhtar, Khatlon region, within which it is planned to organize visits by participants to free economic zones in Tajikistan, as well as B2B and G2B meetings.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached on creating a working group consisting of the heads of relevant ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to develop new projects of industrial cooperation.
