Yesterday, the 4th round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia took place, via videoconference, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Uzbekistan delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Furkat Sidikov, the delegation of Saudi Arabia – by Deputy Foreign Minister Eid Al-Thaqafi. The parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, mutual support on international and regional issues.

The Saudi side emphasized the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years in all spheres of life, which open up new opportunities for further development of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
The parties considered the schedule and organizational aspects of the upcoming joint events at various levels. The organizational aspects of the participation of the Saudi side in the International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities” to be held on July 15-16 this year in the city of Tashkent was discussed.
