Yesterday, agreements on Joint Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan Intergovernmental Commission on water management and paid land use were signed between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of Turkmenistan, in Ashgabat, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, the documents were signed by Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov.
The parties expressed confidence that the signing of these documents will serve to further enhance the joint exploitation of transboundary water resources on a rational and fair basis, in the spirit of friendship and good neighborliness.
