WORLEY INTERNATIONAL ENGINEERING COMPANY TO COOPERATE WITH UZBEKISTAN

The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan held negotiations with representatives of international engineering company Worley (Great Britain) to develop cooperation in the production of high value added products. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The delegation was represented by President of the Energy and Chemical Networks Vinayak Pay and Atomic Energy President Alexander Superfin. During the meeting, the recent financial and organizational changes in Worley’s system and the possibility of cooperation with Uzbekistan were discussed.

As it was mentioned, the fuel and energy complex of the country has been successfully cooperating with Worley for many years in the oil and gas sector, for example, WorleyParsons Uzbekistan Engineering LLC.

During the meeting, representatives of the company were informed about large-scale reforms in the fuel and energy complex of the country, including in the electricity and oil and gas sectors.

The sides also discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, and it is reported that negotiations are now under way to establish an Uzbek atomic engineering center in the form of a joint venture.

In the end, it was agreed to conduct trainings with the involvement of oil and gas, electricity and chemical industry specialists to identify promising areas for high value added products.
