TASHKENT, July 15. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, accompanied by the President of Uzbekistan, visited the Mausoleum of Islam Karimov, in Samarkand, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our state, the distinguished guest laid flowers at the grave of the First President of Uzbekistan.

Verses from the Quran and dua were recited.

It became an expression of respect and fraternal attitude towards our people.

Turkmen guests visited the Mirzo Ulugbek Museum Complex.

The complex is organized next to the observatory of the great scientist, consists of two halls with six sections. It exhibits more than a hundred objects, books, manuscripts, the original of the quadrant, dating back to the time of Mirzo Ulugbek.

The unique observatory and the scientific heritage of our great ancestor made a great impression on the guests.

The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan visited the Mausoleum of Amir Temur. Surahs from the Quran were recited in memory of the great ruler.

The guests were informed about the life, military skills and huge power of Sahibkiran. As is known, Amir Temur patronized the development of science, culture, trade and handicrafts in his state, many outstanding structures were built under his reign. The heritage of Sahibkiran is carefully preserved in the countries of modern Central Asia.

The heads of state visited the Registan Ensemble.

The guests were informed about the history of three majestic architectural monuments – Mirzo Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tillaqori madrasahs. The traditions of the architecture of our people, the design of madrasahs and the ideas embedded in the ornaments aroused great interest among the Turkmenistan delegation.
