A certain percentage of foreign investments to be directed to science and scientific training

As reported by the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke with heads of higher education and scientific research institutions, academicians, scientists and young specialists at the Institute of Chemistry Plant Substances.

A country striving for progress, wishing to become competitive must pay attention to science. Speaking in your language, we must develop as a progressive and innovative country. To do this, scientists, researchers should work hard for the Motherland’s wellbeing, introduce scientific developments and technologies in all spheres, especially in the regions, – said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Head of the country gave instructions on development of order according to which a certain percentage of foreign investments attracted to Uzbekistan will be directed to development of science and training scientific personnel.

Scientists noted that the resolution “On measures of improving the system of remuneration of employees of higher education and scientific-research institutions of the country”, signed on April 5, 2018 by the Head of the country gave them a powerful material and moral incentive. They expressed their proposals on development of science in the country.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev focused on improving social conditions for scientists. Particularly, gave instructions for providing them with housing.
