Namangan city hosts a meeting with participation of the region’s assets, heads of ministries and agencies, aksakals, entrepreneurs and youth.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev analyzes the indicators of Namangan region for the past year and defines new tasks.
– We all should be worried about what results did we achieve last year, what changed in people’s lives? To answer these questions, we must constantly study modern requirements, work with the mind. Only in this way, our economy will be competitive. What is competitiveness? This is access to foreign markets and occupation of a decent place in them. This can be achieved when there are advanced technologies, youth who know how to use them, when there will be quality, – said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

At the meeting, it was noted that in 2018, 577 production and service facilities were commissioned with a total value of 1.8 trillion UZS, the volume of investments increased 1.7 times.
At the same time, it was noted that the existing opportunities and reserves for development of Namangan region are not yet fully involved. The fact that last year the growth of the gross regional product was twice lower than the national indicator, production in agriculture decreased, was criticized.
