Uzbek national costumes and decorations have been presented in Tokyo.
The concert hall Akasaka in Tokyo hosted presentation of the theater of historical costume "El Merosi" from Samarkand. The hall was attended by representatives of political, scientific and academic circles, local communities, culture and art of Japan.
During the opening ceremony of the event, the guests and participants received detailed information about the history and modern development of Uzbekistan, the results held in our country socio-political and socio-economic reforms, development of culture and art.
The program of the ensemble "El merosi" was called "a moment of eternity". It included a presentation of costumes, hats, jewelry Uzbek people from ancient times to the present.
The audience were offered a variety of shows and programs, which tell about the life and traditions of Uzbek people. Unique samples of clothes of different periods in the history of our country. In addition, full of national songs and dances, which the Japanese public met a standing ovation.
In an interview with the Jahon information agency President of the Association of Friendship "Japan - Uzbekistan" Nobuhiko Shima said that Japan is increasingly interested in the Uzbek land, its glorious history and centuries-old traditions.
— Today’s concert was attended by thousands of residents and visitors to Tokyo, - N.Shima said. - They carry with them a piece of this sunny region, its unique culture and arts. There is no doubt that these activities will contribute to the further growth of the tourist flow from Japan to Uzbekistan, expansion of relations between our peoples.
Recall, the theater of historical costume "El Merosi" ("National Heritage") was founded in 2005 in Samarkand. It presents costumes of different eras which by the language of ornament, color and shapes reveal many hidden secrets and laws of the beauty of folk art.
