A program worth 2.8 billion USD has been developed for integrated development of Namangan region

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this on March 1 at the ongoing meeting with participation of Namangan region’s assets.

According to the program, it is planned to implement more than 1.4 thousand investment projects worth 2.8 billion USD in 2019-2020, in the region.

The Head of the state emphasized that these projects will serve to create 39 thousand permanent jobs, attract 1.1 billion USD of foreign direct investment.

In addition, 1 trillion UZS will be allocated from the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan and other sources for the implementation of the program “Every family is an entrepreneur”, in the region. A new family business support system will be introduced at the expense of these funds.

It was noted that 20-25 billion UZS will be allocated to each district, as well as an additional 2 billion UZS to villages and makhallas included in the programs “Prosperous village” and “Prosperous makhalla” for the improvement of the district centers of Namangan region.
