ABOUT INDUSTRIAL POTENTIAL OF UZBEKISTAN

On the pages of the monthly business magazine "Industry Kyrgyzstan" colorfully illustrated article entitled "Strengthening the industrial potential of Uzbekistan" was published.

The article tells about the adopted in the country program of measures to ensure that structural reforms, modernization and diversification of production in the years 2015-2019.

"Uzbekistan is known around the world as a country with a dynamic based on the most advanced technology economies, - emphasizes the publication. - Its powerful scientific-technical and production potential is constantly growing. Every year, the country is implementing large-scale investment projects aimed at further development of economic, social, infrastructure, transport - communication networks, thereby creating new jobs and thus increase incomes".

Further, the article gives a detailed description of the measures taken in Uzbekistan aimed at the gradual development of the socio-economic sphere. In particular, it is reported that in the country will be organized for the production of fruit and vegetable processing (freeze-drying), instant food, meat processing, production of canned fish and deep processing of mushrooms and modernize existing food industry.

"In general, the implementation of the Programme of measures for structural reforms, modernization and diversification of production in the years 2015-2019 will provide an average annual GDP growth of at least 8%, including - industrial production - 9%, with cumulative growth for the entire period 1,5 times. The share of industry in GDP will increase from the current 24% to 27% in 2020. Expected further dynamic development of high-tech industries such as mechanical engineering, oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, textile and food, increasing their share in the industry with 62% in 2014 to 67% in 2020. This will be disbursed about 100 new and upgraded product groups by 2020 the annual production and export potential of the industry by 18 trillion soums and 2 billion USD", - concludes the Kyrgyz edition.
