Additional measures to improve the effectiveness of the reform program in Uzbekistan reviewed

On December 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a working meeting with the participation of the Advisor on Economic Development, Effective Public Administration and International Cooperation, Suma Chakrabarti.

The progress of activities and further plans to improve the effectiveness of the socio-economic reform program in the country were reviewed.

Particular attention was paid to increasing the efficiency of the work being carried out to improve the investment climate and business environment, promoting significant projects in various sectors of the economy with the involvement of leading foreign companies and financial institutions.

Issues related to the process of Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization and increasing the state’s position in international rankings were discussed.
