Alat border customs post of Bukhara region has been put into operation after major reconstruction.

Responsible employees of the regional khokimiyat, representatives of state and public organizations, workers of the sphere attended the event organized on this occasion.

Alat border customs post, which belongs to the regional customs administration, is one of the major posts connecting Uzbekistan with neighboring Turkmenistan. Vehicles and trucks of Turkey, Iran, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan move through it.

Over 17.3 billion sums were spent on reconstruction of the facility and equipping it with technical means.

In January-April, 2018, more than 27 thousand vehicles passed through Alat border customs post. This is 8 thousand 915 more than the same period of the last year.

It should be noted that due to reconstruction the capacity of the customs post has significantly increased, and the time for registration of a vehicle has decreased several times.
