Ambassador of Egypt: Women's issues and rights are priorities in Uzbekistan

Amira Fahmy, Egypt’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, shared her thoughts on the Asian Women’s Forum, which began today in Samarkand:

During my four years in Uzbekistan, I have witnessed positive reforms across various sectors. I am pleased that the Asian Women’s Forum is being hosted by the Uzbek government, highlighting the prioritization of women’s issues, rights, and opportunities in Uzbekistan’s state policy.
As a woman ambassador in Uzbekistan, I am proud to participate alongside representatives from the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other influential organizations in discussions focused on such important topics.
I wish all Uzbek women the best of luck. They deserve opportunities for advancement. Uzbek women possess immense potential, supported by a President who strongly advocates for women’s empowerment. Congratulations on this significant step forward in your country.
