AN INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT BEGINS

The Fergana Challenger traditional tournament among men and Fergana Women’s among women has begun in the Istiqlol tennis complex in the town of Fergana.

Tennis players from more than 20 countries such as Uzbekistan, the USA, Germany, China, India, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan are striving to achieve a victory in the tournament.

As a result of constant attention being paid under the leadership of the country’s President, Islam Karimov, to the development of sports, particularly tennis, modern tennis courts are being built in all the regions of the country and the necessary conditions are being created for young people to engage in this type of sport.

Thanks to work being carried out in this area in our country, talented tennis players are being brought up in the country, and they are participating in international competitions in a worthy manner.

In this prestigious tournament, Uzbekistan is represented by such tennis players as Temur Ismaliov, Sanjar Fayziyev, Humyun Sultonov, Azizbek Turgunov, Jurabek Karimov, Nigina ABduraimova, Guzal Yusupova, Sabina Sharipova and Sarvinoz Saidhojayeva.
