ANOTHER FIELD MISSION OF LAWMAKERS

The initiative of the President of Uzbekistan on the expediency of studying the circumstances on the ground by the deputies of the Legislative Chamber and members of the Senate of Oliy Majlis on a monthly basis has served as a powerful impetus for the practical realization of effective parliamentary control.

In addition, periodic visits of parliamentarians to various regions of the country contribute to the maintenance of constant feedback from the population which is especially significant in the Year of dialogue with the people and human interests.

Since the beginning of this year, the deputies of the Legislative Chamber have already gone to the regions for the third time to examine the real state of affairs in places. This time they will visit to the regions of Karakalpakstan, Andijan, Navoi, Samarkand, Tashkent and other regions of the republic. Also, the circumstances in the Peshku district of the Bukhara region and Sh. Rashidov district of Jizzakh region will be studied.

The activities of primary health care institutions, in particular rural medical stations and family polyclinics were determined as the main object of study.

Recall that the Commission for the coordination of works to further improve rendering of medical services to the population and provision of medicines, and promote the effective application of legislation in practice was created under the lower house of parliament. Its main goal is to thoroughly study and critically analyze the current state of affairs in this area, identify the most acute, systemic problems, elaborate proposals and take specific measures to address them.

In this regard, it is planned to thoroughly study the measures taken to prevent various diseases and intensify the role of patronage in this process.

In addition, during the trips, the deputies will visit to the people’s houses in order to personally familiarize themselves with the conditions of their life, as well as communicate with citizens.
