BIRTHDAYS OF ALISHER NAVOI AND ZAKHIRIDDIN MUHAMMAD BABUR WERE CELEBRATED IN BISHKEK

The "Manas" University hosted solemn evening dedicated to the life, creativity and public activity of the great ancestors of the Uzbek people Alisher Navoi and Zakhiriddin Muhammad Babur.

The event, organized by the Embassy of our country in Kyrgyzstan, involved representatives of official, scientific and academic circles, intellectuals, teaching staff and students.

During the evening it was noted that Alisher Navoi was the first who managed to discover the beauty and the extraordinary imagery of the Uzbek language, its richness and elegance.

It was stressed that in his work the poet called on all the friendship and mutual understanding. He advocated for a peaceful life, he was against the ravages of war. Master of words and wise statesman was organically connected with the people, he lived only his dreams and concerns. On their own savings he built more than a hundred social facilities, free of helping ordinary people.

During the event, along with Alisher Navoi remembered and another great son of the Uzbek people Zakhiriddin Muhammad Babur, who also went down in history not only as an outstanding politician, but also as a talented poet. He has written numerous lyrical works, which to this day have not lost their relevance. He is also the author of a special alphabet for the Uzbek language, scientific treatises on the theory of poetry and law.

It was noted that the rich heritage of Babur show interest not only in the East, but also in European countries. Scientific works of our ancestors studied comprehensively, in particular established the International Public Foundation Babur, who regularly conducts various expeditions, organizes scientific conferences devoted to research of the era.

In the course of the evening the organizers presented documentaries and feature films about the life and creativity of Alisher Navoi and Zakhiriddin Muhammad Babur, as well as a concert program, the repertoire which included poetry reading and performance of gazelles Uzbek classics, national songs and dances.

Jahon Information Agency correspondent spoke with some participants of the event who shared their views on the contribution of the great historical figures in the development of human civilization.

— Great works of Alisher Navoi and Zakhiriddin Muhammad Babur contributed to cultural progress and have had a tremendous impact on the development of scientific thought and spiritual life of the peoples of Central Asia and the world at large.

I hope that this evening will make their own, albeit small, contribution to a better understanding and disclosure of the content for young people works of great thinkers, as well as strengthen their sense of love and devotion to the Motherland, will strengthen mutual respect, adopt the society the best human qualities.

— The works of Alisher Navoi and Babur have many common aspects. They give a profound interpretation of concepts such as sincerity, love, honor, morality, patience, generosity, faithfulness. Uzbek classics called each man to leave a good name behind, decorate life with noble deeds and good works. And that deserves great respect, since their words have retained their strength and significance to this day.
