CABINET REPORT APPROVED

The general session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis reviewed a report on the execution of the State Budget and the budgets of state trust funds for nine months of 2016.

Representatives of political parties’ factions and deputy group of the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan made speeches in the course of discussion of this issue. They stated their positions, expressed their opinions and made practical recommendations on the efficient and targeted utilization of budgetary resources.

Members of the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) noted, in particular, that the production volume of micro firms and small enterprises had grown up and prerequisites were created for increasing the amount of the single payable tax. It was noted at the session that this type of income receipts made up more than 1 trillion soums, which is 23.3% more compared with the same period of the last year.

Members of the Milliy Tiklanish Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (DPU) drew the attention the local bodies of state power and administration to problems of consolidation of the local budgets’ revenue part, as well as to efficient utilization of available opportunities and potential.

Speaking at the session, members of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU) focused their attention on the issues of further improvement of the system of targeted protection and support of the population, as well as the implementation of the Program on securing the creation of workplaces and employment of the population. They advanced a number of proposals on ensuring the effective use of budgetary funds by the bodies of government administration and budgetary organizations bоth in the center and on the ground, and observation of financial discipline.

Members of Adolat Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (SDPU) underlined that 92,4 billion soums, channeled to financing scientific-technical projects and 15,7 billion soums allocated for realization of innovative projects, play an important role in the modernization of economy, and technical and technological re-equipment of production. At the same time, they deem it necessary to strengthen parliamentary control on the ground over the efficient utilization of resources assigned to the sphere of health services.

Members of the parliamentary group of the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan proposed to raise the level of security and efficiency of execution of environmental protection measures, to increase the amount of resources allocated for the construction of treatment facilities, collection and recycling of wastes.

The report of the Cabinet of Ministers on the execution of the State Budget and the budgets of the state trust funds for nine months of 2016 was approved by the parliament members.
