CCI AND UNDP DEVELOP INCLUSIVE BUSINESS MODELS IN UZBEKISTAN

Tashkent hosted a "round table" dedicated to the discussion of opportunities for the development of inclusive business projects in our country, according to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (CCI).

The event was organized by UNDP project "Business Forum of Uzbekistan - Phase III» with the assistance of the CCI.

During the discussions it was noted that it is necessary to consider inclusive business models as part of the overall business strategy aimed at involving vulnerable people in business activity in various sectors of the economy. Experts and representatives from the private, public, public and academic sectors studied the success stories and opportunities of cooperation for the development of new inclusive business projects.

They also discussed ways to overcome the constraints and the necessary resources for wide implementation of successful inclusive business models in Uzbekistan.
Inclusive business models are intended to include the poor, vulnerable people and people with disabilities at different stages of the product chain, both as consumers on the demand side, as well as producers and entrepreneurs from the supply side.
During the joint work of CCI and UNDP project was implemented three pilot inclusive project in Namangan and Khorezm region Yangiyul.
