CELLULOSE MADE OF JERUSALEM ARTICHOKES

A new method of cellulose production has been invented at the Tashkent Chemical-Technological Institute.

This invention introduced by Mahamatjon Qosimov and Muzaffar Murodov is designed for the pulp and paper industry for production of pulp from non-wood raw materials, to be more specific, from Jerusalem artichoke stems. The process for production of cellulose makes it possible to increase the yielding capacity and quality of the pulp, as well as improving the cellulose bleachibility on account of utilization of catalytic additives and modification of the boiling process.
