The Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan discussed the results and prospects of the activities in the field of maternal and child health, the press service of the Oliy Majlis informs.

Last year, in the framework of the project "Healthy mother - healthy child" more than 13.6 million women and children passed a medical examination. As a result, 2.8 million women and 2.5 million children received rehabilitation.

Monthly conducted targeted the "Week of the health of women of childbearing age, children and adolescents" in the field, as well as an annual in-depth medical examination in remote rural areas under the slogan "Hech kim mehr va etibordan chetda qolmasin" (Nobody will be left without attention) with the participation of leading specialists of the republican specialized scientific and practical medical centers and institutions.

Recall that the international organization Save the Children included Uzbekistan in ten states that are most concerned about the health of the younger generation.
