CHILDREN IN UZBEKISTAN WILL HAVE A NEW VACCINATION

Since September 2015, all children aged 2-3 months and one-year-old ones will receive a vaccine against pneumococcal infection, press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan reports.

To date, according to the national vaccination children are vaccinated against 11 infectious diseases.

Our information: Pneumococcal infections - a group of diseases that are manifested purulent-inflammatory changes in the lungs (pneumonia), CNS (purulent meningitis), heart (endocarditis), joints (osteomyelitis, suppurative arthritis), and others.

The source of pneumococcal infection is always a patient or its carrier. Pneumococcus are common inhabitant of the upper respiratory tract, ie they are opportunistic microorganisms. Development of the disease is possible with a sharp decrease in the body’s immunity. Timely vaccination is a reliable way to protect your child from developing diseases caused by pneumococcal infection.
