CHINA – KYRGYZSTAN – UZBEKISTAN EXACT RAILWAY ROUTE WILL BE READY BY APRIL

A detailed railway route between China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will be ready by next April, correspondent of Sputnik reports.

“Today, a tripartite meeting of delegations of countries on this project was held in Tashkent. Heads of the delegations took serious practical decisions aimed at its implementation, and the deadlines were set. The next meeting will be held in April. The sides will form the railway route until that time”, — said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan Daniyar Sydykov.

As he noted, the sides also agreed on development of the concept on technical and economic feasibility of the project in August, and by the end of the year – on addressing all financial issues.

It should be noted that the new railway would provide an opportunity to transport goods from China through Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan to the countries of Eastern Europe and the Middle East. It will become one of the shortest routes for the transport of Chinese goods to the EU.

According to the preliminary parameters of the project, the reduction of the route from Eastern Asia to the countries of the Middle East and Southern Europe will be about 900 kilometers, and the terms will decrease by 7-8 days.
