CIS Summit: Important documents have been signed

CIS Heads of States continued negotiations in an expanded format.

Following the meeting, the Statement of the Heads of States of the CIS Member States on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of December 10, 1948, the CIS Convention on Cooperation in the Exploration and the Use of Outer Space for Peaceful Purposes, the Plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945, the Interstate Program of Joint Measures to Combat Crime for 2019-2023, the Cooperation Agreement in Combating Information Technology Crimes and other documents have been signed. A decision was taken on declaring 2021 as the Year of Architecture and Urban Planning in the CIS.
The issue of the next country to chair the CIS was considered. According to the general decision, Turkmenistan will chair the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2019.

A number of other documents aimed at strengthening cooperation between the CIS countries have been adopted.
