On July 27, the 4th meeting of representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and parliamentarians of the Central Asian countries took place in Dushanbe.

Uzbekistan delegation, consisting of representatives of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, took part in the meeting.

Participants of the event discussed issues of adaptation to the consequences of climate change and strengthening of intersectoral management of this phenomenon, and forming a legislative basis for cooperation in this area.

The participants were informed about the measures taken by Uzbekistan to ensure the sustainability of all sectors of the economy against global climate change.

International partners highly appreciated the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan on climate change and stimulation of green development put forward at the International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity: Challenges and Opportunities” on 15-16 July in Tashkent.
